Zack....Plainfield Area Senior Graduating Class 2013.....

We had a great time and lots of laughs with Zack! We were so excited to capture his last year as a senior!  What an amazing guy....headed to college this upcoming year and aspires to be a physician.  I can only hope that my sons follow in his footsteps.  It is so wonderful to see the progression from freshman to senior.  Most definitely bitter sweet, but mom and dad must be so proud to know they have raised such a well-rounded, athletic intelligent young man!  Also, got to meet his brother Travis and got a few pics of him as well!

Steps to finding a Cure.....Meet Josh!!!

Josh has always been the kind of kid that cares about others. He has found the world of science to be fascinating and intriguing since he was a small child. At the mere age of five he made it perfectly clear to his friends and family that he wanted to become a venemologist, to find the cures for the poisons that live within the unfortunate. Now that Josh is a teenager he understands the full meaning of what cancer is and what it can do. More importantly, he understood what he could do to make a difference. And that is how St. Baldrick's entered Josh's life.  Josh appreciates that he has been blessed with health and wishes that those stricken were blessed as well.  So it is with this that he has joined the crusade, the continued fight to help find a cure for cancer.  He raised over $800 for St. Baldrick's, ranking ninth place at his location while most were adults.  It was evident to Josh that even though he is only fourteen, his help was equally important!

Brave, Bold, Beautiful..........Baldricks!

This young woman amazes me with her strong, sensitive self. Her family should be proud of the person she has become, and the future should be proud of the woman that will come to be.

This is McKenna a twelve year old girl in the sixth grade.  She decided to participate in St. Baldrick's after overhearing her older sister talk about doing this for the past year.  The decision for McKenna was simple, for two reasons, the first and foremost being that she wanted to show her support and solidarity for children with cancer. Secondly, she wanted to make a statement for girls her age, "Be proud! Be confident in who you are, as it is your personality that everyone will notice!"

St. Baldrick's Foundation is a childhood cancer charity funding research to help find cures for children with cancer. The Foundation raises money for childhood cancer research primarily through head-shaving events.[Volunteers sponsored by family, friends and employers, shave their heads in solidarity with children who typically lose their hair during cancer treatment. Events have taken place in all 50 US states and 28 countries. Since 2000, St. Baldrick's Foundation volunteers have organized nearly 4,200 head-shaving events and shaved over 190,500 heads, raising over $118 million for life-saving childhood cancer research.
